It’s no secret that we can be turned on by quite different sensations, even if they would be painful in everyday life.
If someone grabs me by the hair in the street in broad daylight, it would be very painful and unpleasant for me, but this technique is one of the main directions of my BDSM activities. In combination with the surge of endorphins that sexual activity causes, hair pulling (if done right) is very arousing.
But first, define the boundaries!
Before you pull each other’s hair, be sure to discuss it with your partner. Do you want to pull your partner’s hair or do you want to be pulled. Be sure to discuss this before you start experimenting or starting a sex life together. If both parties are willing to do it, then go for it!
Hold by the base
Regardless of the length of your partner’s hair, always be sure to pull at the base of the hair (i.e., closer to the roots). A great way to do this is to run your hand over your scalp, grab the hair, and pull. Check with your partner to see if he or she is comfortable with this grip option. Another effective way is to gather your partner’s hair into a ponytail and pull it at the base. Gripping by the base of the hair is best. This way you won’t damage your scalp or the hair itself. If you pull on the ends of the hair, you can create a sharp pain because of their uneven tension! Make sure that while you’re holding your partner’s hair, you don’t accidentally injure his neck with an accidental jerk.
Long Hair
You can have endless fun with long and thick hair! Try to gather your partner’s hair into a braid and wrap it around your hand until it touches the base of her head. Then you can gently pull on the hair if, for example, she is sitting on top of you or you are in a doggie-style pose.
Short hair.
Run your fingers through short hair so that strands of your partner’s hair are between your fingers. With your fingers pressed together and strands sandwiched between them, pull them gently. This can be very arousing in missionary and many other positions!
