Sr. Sibi, the Assistant General is a priceless gift to the congregation. Animated with the spirit and vitality of transforming and modernizing the congregation to achieve the status of excellence, sr. sibi has been an embodiment of the very essence of what Carmelite stands for. She was born in Kallyad, Thalassery in 1962. She took her first profession in 1981 and made her final profession in 1988. After getting her post-graduate degree in Religious Services from Rome in 1988, she continued pursuing and earning Licentiate in Oriental Canon Law PIO, Rome, in 1995. Her DCL Thesis in Religious Community as Koinonia in the Ancient Canonical Legislations and in CCEO, won her an honorary degree of Doctorate. Sr. Sibi has adorned various posts in the CMC congregation. To name a few- the Assistant to the Syro- Malabar Synod held in Vatican in 1995 (18 days), Prefect of Studies in 1989-1993 and prefect of Studies and Local Superior in 1998-2001 at Jnanodaya, Bangalore. Having served as Assistant Provincial Superior (2001-2003) in Thalassery province, she became the Provincial Superior in 2003 and continued in the post for six years. As Executive member of National Women CRI: 2006-2009 and also the Executive member of Canon Law Society of India (2006-2009) and OCLS (2003-06; 2009-2012) she rendered meritorious service. She also executed her duties as Associated Judge of the Marriage Tribunal at Arch Diocese of Thalassery from 1998 onwards. Sr. Sibi was the Vicar General of CMC in the 8th General Council(2009-2015).
